How to Play The Good, Bad and Ugly Poker
The rules of ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly poker’ are that the players are dealt three cards, two face down and one face up. Further, three community cards are also dealt face down to the board. When you have been dealt your hole cards and 3 faces down community cards, there is a round of betting. The rules are the same as any Texas Holdem games rules; players can choose whether to call, raise or fold.
The idea is that, starting from left to right, the cards are turned over with a round of betting after each turn. The first community card turned is called ‘The Good’ and all cards that have been dealt with the same rank become wild cards. There is another round of betting and players would decide whether to stay in the hand or not.
The middle card is now turned up, known as ‘The Bad’. All cards dealt with the same rank must be thrown away. This includes all cards that are face down. The one more round of betting takes place and the final card, ‘The Ugly’ is turned over. The players who have the same ranking card as ‘The Ugly’ must fold their hand.
The dealer deals one more card face down. And the final round of betting takes place. Now is the time for the final “Showdown”. The player who can produce the best hand wins the pot. The Good, Bad and Ugly is a perfect poker game for mid-level beginners and pros alike.
