How to Know When to Quit Poker Online Game

Quitting something is always very difficult. Knowing when to quit poker online games is a skill that is not easy to learn.  There are no such rules about quitting that you need to follow but there are factors that you should consider when you are in the middle of the cash game session.

Fatigue

A poker player always wants to play his own ‘A’ game. You obviously want to play when you can focus   without worrying about falling asleep. Poker online is way too easy to play now without leaving your house, leaving you more vulnerable to playing when tired. A player should always be aware of when your energy is waning and think about quitting. The players will know when you are playing fatigued especially in live poker. It is also suggested that you avoid talking to your opponents about how long you have been playing or how many hours you have worked during the day. The sharks will automatically smell the blood in the water and take advantage of you. If you are tired, just quit your game.

Fish

If you are playing with players who are particularly bad, you want to try to play longer games. There are chances that if two players have been playing for a very long time, they will get tired, going back to what we said about playing when exhausted.  They will play even worse, although you also be off your game, you will still play better than they will. Many players make the mistake of quitting the game soon when they are ahead. If you are winning and playing with weak opponents, you should keep on playing   as long as you can.

Tilt

Many people have poor tilt control. If you are prone to tilting, you should consider quitting a session as soon as you suffer a bad beat. This advice can be bit extreme but you always need to remember that money saved is the money earned.  When you are tilting, you are not playing your best game and will likely end up losing a lot of money. The players who have better tilt control, you may not need to quit the game. You may need to just step away from the table to clear your head before returning to continue the session. If a player doesn’t know when he is tilting, then bring your buddies with you to the table who understand you and your game.  You should tell them to take aside when they notice that you are tilting.

Running Bad

You can’t always win the game.  Sometime you can lose even when you have the best hand. It happens to everyone.  It’s the universe way of reminding you that luck does play a role in everyone’s life. When things don’t right you should consider leaving the session. It is truer for the players with tilt issues.  Taking bad beats will leave you frustrated and will take you off the game.

Running Away from Problems

At time we all can feel troubled on personal matters. No player should avoid issues. Try to sort out the problems before taking part in a poker game.

If you are feeling any of the above then the chances are, it’s time to quit the game, whether you are playing poker online games for free or in casino.
